NVIDIA QuadroÒ Plex 1000 enhances HDTV broadcast programming at HD WORLD 2006

At HD WORLD 2006, PNY showcased the new NVIDIA Quadro Plex 1000 model III - the world's first Visual Computing System powering Brainstorm’s virtual studio and 3D broadcast graphics software, eStudio. Visitors to the booth were able to see for themselves why this ultra high performance solution is the perfect system for creating real-time 3D graphics for live HD broadcasts.

The NVIDIA Quadro Plex 1000 model III is configured with two NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 GPUs and two NVIDIA Quadro SDI boards, providing 2GB of frame buffer memory and delivering uncompressed HD-SDI output. Two channels of HD-SDI make it ideal for:

§         Program / preview

§         HD on one channel / SD on the second channel

§         Camera one and camera two

§         Local and master control production signals

Google Earth™, Google’s satellite imagery-based mapping product, was used to demonstrate the stunning image quality and speed of the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 SDI by PNY Technologies®. Google Earth’s 3D visually simulated, photo-realistic images were displayed on an ultra-high resolution HD monitor using the HD-SDI output of the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5500 SDI by PNY.

Video Clarity Provides Researchers With New Method For Testing Video Algorithms Using The NVIDIA QuadroÒ FX by PNY TechnologiesÒ

When designing algorithms forfuture video standards, researchers at the world’s leading engineering companies need a way to validate the quality of these algorithms against known video sequences. As a result, many have come to rely on the ClearView Video Analysis System by Video Clarity, which uses the NVIDIA Quadro FX by PNY Technologies graphic boards.

Using the ClearView Video Analysis System, video researchers can now visually compare their new algorithms against a base-line, their competitors, or the original video sequence on a single video display. The ClearView system required a reliable, professional graphic board with the stability to withstand exacting testing regimens, for this reason Video Clarity chose the NVIDIA Quadro FX by PNY Technologies graphic boards.
