PNY TechnologiesÒ launches NVIDIA QuadroÒ Plex 1000 at IBC

PNY and NVIDIA were proud to be part of IBC 2006, where record setting attendance reached over 45,000. This show, based in Amsterdam, is for anyone involved in the creation, management and delivery content for the entertainment industry.

Visitors at the PNY / NVIDIA booth could see demonstrations of the NVIDIA Quadro Plex 1000, the world's first dedicated Visual Computing System (VCS). This new system is ideal for powering multiple streams of 4K high-definition video, 3D styling and design, scientific and medical visualization, oil and gas exploration or visual simulation and training. At the show it was demonstrating On-Air HD Broadcast graphics using Brainstorm’s eStudio software and displaying 2 separate, discreet HD-SDI channels.

On-Air HD Broadcast graphics, created with VizRT’s Viz|ArtistÔ 2.8, were displayed on a stunning 65” HD - SDI plasma screen using the HD-SDI output of the NVIDIA Quadro® FX5500 SDI by PNY. HD Video Editing and Effects were also demonstrated using Adobe® Premiere® Pro 2.0 and After Effects 7.0 powered by NVIDIA Quadro® FX1500 Professional Video Edition by PNY.

iO Film chose NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 SDI by PNY to complete DI work for Academy AwardÒ winning film, Crash

iO Film, a leading Hollywood digital intermediate (DI) facility, is proud of the DI work they performed on the blockbuster film Crash, winner of three Academy awards at the 2006 Oscars, including Best Picture. iO Film used the Digital Vision Nucoda Film Master systems combined with the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 SDI by PNY graphic boards to complete the Digital Intermediate (DI) for Crash.

According to Kevin Mullican, CTO, iO Film, “The Nucoda/ NVIDIA Quadro systems are an integral part of our workflow. All of our work goes through these systems, and we are using them constantly.
